Get Involved
The paths to peace and environmental health are not complicated; neither are they separate. The Friends of the Arava Institute provides readily available opportunities for you to have a lasting impact on these paths.
Your support will help train young environmentalists - who will join other equally talented and committed scientists, technologists, researchers and activists - to work across cultural, religious and political borders. You can bring much needed financial support to such urgently required research as desert agronomy and the stabilization of groundwater resources.
You can choose to make a one-time financial gift, or structure a series of scheduled donor payments.
The Friends of the Arava Institute can help you host a parlor meeting at your community or education center, place of business or worship, or home residence.
You might want to experience the beauty, history, diversity - and challenges - of Israel through participation in the annual Arava-Hazon Israel Bike Ride.
However you get involved, you will become a part of the active solutions we've addressed in these pages. And make no mistake, confronting and meeting these challenges does have global impact! Your support is testimony to the growing awareness that the environment is the true path to peace in the Middle East - and beyond; that secure borders are those that, like the environment itself, should be open and safe, transcending the boundaries of ethnic discord, unchecked pollution, poverty, bigotry and violence.
